Sara Ratcliffe

Sara Ratcliffe is a Democrat running for the 58th House District in 2021.

Sara grew up in the Midwest — in a community where families struggled to make ends meet, and where a parent may need to choose between paying a doctor's bill or putting food on the table. This instilled in Sara a lifelong calling to look out for those whose voices aren't often heard in government.

After college, Sara went on to work on Capitol Hill as a staff member for Senator J. James Exon and as a research assistant to a noted political author, Elizabeth Drew.

Throughout her professional career, Sara continued to work on numerous political campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, both as a volunteer and paid staff. Her last full-time position was working President Obama's 2008 campaign in both Virginia and Pennsylvania.
