Poll WorkerYou can help protect our votes by volunteering for one of the many election jobs.
Be an Election Officer
These inside jobs are staffed through your local election board or the VA Dept of Elections. Officers of Election/Poll Workers help the election run smoothly during early voting and Election Day. Roles are based on the needs and staff availability in your location:
Greeter,
Pollbook Officer,
Ballot Officer,
Voting Equipment and Booth Officer,
Chief Officer,
Assistant Chief Officer
Be a Poll Greeter!
Outside Poll Greeters are organized by local Democratic Committees. They hand out sample ballots and other info at the polls. They are allowed to answer voters' questions, so will be essential in getting out the vote for the 3 amendments this year.
Be a Poll Observer!
Observers keep an eye out for issues that could delay voting &emdash; such as running out of ballots, long lines, malfunctioning equipment, or any other problems that may prevent voters from casting their ballots promptly.
