Mark Warner was first elected to the Senate in 2009. He was Governor of VA from 2002-06.

Warner attended George Washington University and Harvard Law School. After college, he worked for US Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT).

Warner founded a venture capital company, where he was an early investor in a number of technology companies, including Nextel. He is one of the wealthiest US Senators.
