The Sixth District of Virginia covers all or part of the counties of Amherst, Augusta, Bath, Bedford, Botetourt, Highland, Page, Rockingham, Rockbridge, Roanoke, Shenandoah, and Warren. It includes the cities of Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Lynchburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Roanoke.
