Our group advocates, promotes and proposes legislation in the Virginia General Assembly that benefits women and their families
We have been together for about 5 year, and started with Herndon Reston Indivisible (HRI) as the Women's Issue Group. When HRI changed it's focus to elections & fund raising, our group wanted to stay together and continue our advocacy for Women's issues in the VA General Assembly
Issues: Womens Rights, Healthcare, Economy, Voting Rights, We have supported Paid Family Medical Leave, increase in the min. wage, & making sure everyone has the right to vote
Activities: Organizing actions, Canvassing, Lobbying, Fundraising, we are not great on social media but we have regular schedule zoom meetings that are particularly intense when the General Assembly meets.
